Toyo Proxes 4 Owners- any noise issues?

I will be switching to Toyo Proxes 4 tires soon. Are there any regrets with these purchases? any noise issues? How is the grip? I want a luxury ride with grip on winter and snowy roads. Is this the right tire?

Mine are quiet, smooth and stick like glue. Can't speak for the snow since I'm in Atlanta, but we just had major rainfall as a result of hurricane Dennis and I drove through streets with at least 1-2 inches of rain flowing over them and I had great traction. I will never put any other tire on my TL.

What size did you get? 235 or 245? Stock rim? Anyone have a pic of these tires on the rim?

I noticed a slight hum with the new tires. The larger wheels could also be affecting the road noise. It is not enough to be annoying, but it can be noticeable with the radio off.

TBone: Here is a pic of my TL with 18" Proxes 4's on.

I did 245 on the stock 17's and couldn't be happier! No noise and MUCH better on bumps and the sort. Not as much jostling / rattles!

After 5K miles they've developed a bit of whine, but all in all they are still quiet and smooth.

I asked this a while back because I definitely have noise at low speeds and while slowing down. Some suggested it's due to mt switch to 18" wheels and a lower profile tire...

For the record, I will never buy Toyos again. I had 225/40/18 on my TL-S when I had my rims and I would just blow out tires going down a block with no potholes. They are low-quality POS's. I've had Continentals on my car for more than a year and NO problems whatsoever. I had a handful of blown Toyos in a matter of two months.

Just a lil whine...nothing that would irritate the ear. Infact you cant hear them when you have the radio on. Great tires, I've read nothing but good reviews.

I have mine (stock size on stock rims) for about a month and they DEFINATELY do whine/hum. They stick like glue and generally are great tires for the money. I found XM works best for drowning out the whine. Ear plugs might work also!
