Can anyone tell me if the 2002 TLS wheels and tires will be a direct fit to the 2001 TL. I want to be sure the 17" wheels have no effect on the speedometer or the transmission shifting programming due to the difference in diameter.

They will fit, but I have heard that the TL-S has a different steering rack with a stopper built in to prevent hitting the inside of the rim to the suspension/rack?? when turning lock to lock. This is why the TL-S has a turning radius of a truck.

I believe just as long as the you don't turn your wheel all the way lock to lock, you won't have any problems.

Theres alot of people on this board who has them on their 1999-2001 TL's, so I'm sure their actual experience will be a better opinion

I have 17" x 7" CL-S wheels with 225/45/17 tires and have no problems even lock to lock. The TL-S wheels are 17" x 6.5" so you should have even less of a problem....

there is no problem with turning.... i have some CLS rims on my 99 Tl and i make hard turns all the time with no problems at all..
