TL's been a Bit weird lately

hey guys
For the past few days, my TL has been acting very strangely. I checked the air pressure and its at a steady 35PSI COLD. The problem is that the car will be driving nice and good, then suddenly it feels like the tires just lost their grip, and the car feels like its floating, like when theres no air in the tires. It happens every-where, on local streets and the highway. It happens from about 35 MPH to 90MPH. I have not felt any vibrations and the air hasn't been leaking at all.
Also lately, with the road being wet, the tires will skid very easily. I can go from the redlight barely accelerating (about 2.3K RPMS), and VSA will kick in trying to keep the car happy.

The only thing that I have noticed about the tires/suspension is that the inner edge of all the tires (towards the center of the car) are almost bald, but the center and outer edge is like new. I have the Michelin MX4M tires, they have about 20K on them. Nothing under the car is bent and the sway-bar bolts are nice and tight.

Any ideas on the problem?

Mod's, this was posted here because it deals with suspension and tires, so it doesn't really belong in the problem and fixes section.

Could be that your alignment is way way off. If the inner edges of your tires are wearing then your camber may be out of whack. I'm not sure if a very poor alignment would affect the VSA though.

csmeance did you ever have the bump stops fixed with the TSB for the uneven tirewear?

EDIT - Here is the link: http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/B05-050.PDF

I think so, but the tires are wearing on the inside on all four corners, not just the rears.

The VSA was activating to keep the car from skidding on the wet roads, but the car skids very easily. Thats what I was trying to say. Guys, do you think it could be the shocks being killed, I have the factory suspension (no mods to it) and am at 43K?

If your badly toed out then it will wear the insides of the tires ... as its doing this ists virtually dragging the tires on the roads.

If you lived in snow country you'd be in the ditch ...

I'd do an alignment.

Yep, that will address your problems, if your tires are warn that unevenly it's time for new rubber as well.

original tires? if so, 43k is alot. time for some new rubber!

aligning, camber and toe adjust will fix the issue, but wont bring your tires back to life

nope, got these at about 33K, on the car. I bought a tire/rim package that was used for about 10K for a good price from a member here. Before these tires, I had a pair of Falken Ziex 512E's on the car. I will call the dealership and get the alignment done. Any other suggestions before I spend 80 bux on an alignment and about 50 bux on a tank of gas?

wouldn't smithtown acura be closer to you? I went there once with my MDX when it died the last time in NY and had to have it towed there. Dealer was friendly, service lounge was eh. compared to the one here and the manager was sort of nosy. On the other hand, Valley Stream acura = crap. Took them 4 hours to change a tire.

My dealer is far from me, about 50 miles each way now, and boy does it suck when you hit rush hour traffic coming towards orlando.
