TL Type S aftermarket wheels

I just bought an 07' and was curious if you guys can offer up advice on nice 17" wheels for these things. I want to stick with 17" because the car came with new tires. I want something with a lip, look racy and classy. Pics would be great. If you have a set you are selling in great shape, hit me up.
Thank,
Scott

Stick with your OEM Type S wheels-they "say" Type S.

They have been curbed, I know someone that paints wheels and repairs the scratches. What color would go with a black car? The "murdered out" look is old...

I would have them finished in the OEM dark gray color which I think looks best. You are right, black wheels do not look good so I wouldnt have them done in black.

i don't think there is a paint code, but a pro will match them very closely when repairing.

don't get aftermarket 17s with a lip. Lips make the wheel look SMALLER..
So, your 17's will look like 16's.

refinish your type S wheels, or go bigger....

There is no paint code for the Type-S wheel. It was never release to the public nor the dealerships

Anthracite is the closes to match it

agreed with, dont go aftermarket wheels unless you plan to get better specs.

the stock specs are 17x8 inches +45
if you're not getting something as close to this or more aggressive, it aint worth it.

Agreed with 96SC4, 17" with lip will make your wheels look like 15" or 16" depending what kind of lip it has. TL-S wheels are nice already

I'm not a wheel or Acura guru so I'm going to need ya'lls help. I don't want to lower the car, I don't want wheels that looked like they had tires stretched over the wheel with part of the wheel bead exposed and I'm not changing the camber of the car. With all that being said, will 18's work? And do any of you recommend a web site I can see pics with wheels on the car? I have Type S wheels that are curbed but I'm not sure I want to spend the money to have them repaired or buy a used set of aftermarket in great shape... $200 to have them repaired.

I think you really should focus on what you want to get out of replacing the stock wheels first before you can go shopping.

Some people replace them for aesthetics, some people likes to get lightweight wheels for performance, or it can be both.

Tirerack has pictures of wheels (that they sell) on the car, but it depends if you like their selection.

If staying with 17", the TL-S wheels are really a great choice. It compliments the car nicely, and like Steven Bell said, it "say" Type S.

Good luck!

18's will work just fine not lowered.... get the OEM 18" Aspec wheels
an aftermarket wheel on a non lowered car will look silly.
