If I were to purchase a TL tomorrow and wanted tires that are better than stock, primarily for a smoother & quieter ride, what would be the best choice?

Not sure what the best tire would be - but a few questions that may help others answer this question:
Are you looking at a 6speed with the summer tires?
Or the 6 speed or automatic with all seasons?

For 06 the stock tires are Michelin and are substantially better than the Bridgestones that came on the older 04-05 cars. I had an 04 and Bridgstone swapped out the EL42s for LS-Zs for me. I got an 06 in Decemebr and the first thing I noticed was that the new stock Michelin's are smoother and quiter than the old tires. I actually found them so smooth and soft that I run them 3-4 psi over (around 36-37psi) to get a better handling ride. If you want a smooth ride the tires mentioned previously will tend to ride a bit stiffer, the current tires may actually be a tad soft for me, but I'll run themout a bit then decide what todo. I miss the handling of the LS-Z tires, but they were pretty firm, I used to feel everything inthe road. The new stock tires are a greattire for normal driving, it you like to corner ther new stck tires are rather soft.
