if you want to see what plasti-dip looks like here you go:
it held up fine. it resists rock chips etc pretty much any impact besides curbing the wheel. but i didnt like the black on black look so i peeled it off. leaves no residue and comes off easily when you want it to.

Plastic dip is kinda like plastic spray paint. You spray it on, like spray paint, but it makes a layer of stretchy plastic on whatever you put on. Better for blacking out emblems...

plus the lady who owned this car failed at parking. i think she didnt consider it a good parking job unless she rubbed against the curb haha..the plastidip will sink into the rashes which saves me from getting them refinished. like i mentioned earlier, im not looking to invest money into wheels i dont plan on keeping
on a side note, plastidip is actually pretty hard to get off and it's removable at the same time. i did about 7-8 coats on my emblems and i when i wanted to re do them, boy was it a challenge to get them off.

i chose plastidip because i dont wanna put in 75 per wheel aka $300, if i did the math right, towards wheels i dont plan on keeping. using plastidip, 4 cans (11 oz) total = $24, 1 can per wheel, (essentially 6 bucks per wheel) + $24 for 4 cans of clear (6oz) = $48 job.

yeah plastidip is great stuff. i painted my calipers with it. however its not for all applications. if you want something to look amazing, use real paint.
and even with 6 coats, i was able to peel it off pretty easily
i love it because anything you paint is reversible. i was able to literally see how my wheels would look painted matte black (and gloss black, i put clearcoat on it after to see). i saved a lot of money because i didnt like them. imagine if i had gotten them powdercoated.
