TL-S... not many options... got RonJon's

I wanted to get some new wheels for my 2007 TL-S, but the options are extremely limited...
There are really only about 10 wheels available, and half of them are made by RonJon.
So, I decided the 19" Inspyre was the wheel for me. Rolling on Falken FK-452 Tires 245/35/19.

The wheels arrived last week, and this morning I had a set of Eibach lowering springs installed.

(oh ya... I cut polished it too!)

There are hundreds, if not thousands of rims that would work. TL-S isn't the only car with larger than normal brakes...they're not even that big compared to other true sports cars.

Good choice in rims. I love the RJ Inspyres. If I wasn't a fan of the time attack style, I'd get these for sure!

You don't need a link to those "hundreds". Just play with the offsets and sizing and its not that hard to figure out.

Yes, there probably are hundreds of them that will fit out there.

I am having the same problem finding wheels that fit. I have been looking at wheelsnext.com and put in my car info to filter results but I know for a fact that most of those wheels will not fit. Even when you call different places they have no idea.

It's pretty well documented that there are a limited number of wheels that will fit the TL-S.

The website that lists hundreds and thousands of available wheels must be down right now...

I suppose if you wanted to start buggering around with wheel spacers, you could mount almost any rim.
I've been down that road with previous cars, and had nothing but trouble.

"Really only 10 rims available for the TL-S..."

C'mon man, you could have at least said "there aren't many," and even that wouldn't have been true.

There are a ridiculous amount of rims out there for our car, you just gotta know what the hell you're talking about to find them.

Lotsa guys talkin' smack... but we're still waitin' to see these hundreds (or thousands) of wheels that'll fit the TL-S...

I'm happy with my RonJon's, but there's lotsa people on this forum with TL-S that want different rims, and don't want to fork-out for RonJon's.

If you have the knowledge, then share it...

It is hard to find nice wheels that fit our car...not impossible, but hard!
Tuff to find a wheel that passes all 3.

I'm not saying there's a specific website or list that has ALL the rims compatible with a TL-S. You just get a set of any rims and make sure the width and offset are compatible.

That's what I did when I looked at the HUNDREDS of rims for my car online and finally bought a set without ever mounting them...I knew which sizes and offsets would work. It's not rocket science.

              Like he said...

Just to clarify things... I'm not some noob who doesn't know about wheel offset. I've built many different cars up, and I fully understand wheels, suspension, brakes, tuning, electronics, etc.

For this car, I wanted a 19" wheel, which would bolt on without needing spacers or rings. I also wanted to add TPMS sensors to my new wheels, which limited the options even further. Trust me... this narrowed the search down to RonJon, and about 6 others.

I'm sure there's lots of wheels that would fit... if you're wanting to screw around with wheel spacers and hubcentric rings... but like I said in my earlier post, I've been down this road with previous cars, and it proved to be nothing but trouble. I had constant wheel shuddering, and uneven tire wear.

While on the topic, I'm curious...

              http://r1racingwheels.com/wheels.html

Will the 19s in Hype and/or Drift fit the TLS?? If so what sizing and offsets?

yea man... the brembos limit your selection... but you can still get alot of wheels

FYI... any 2pc or 3pc wheel you like, CAN and WILL be custom made for every application out there... of course, they are not $300 a wheel, but you really have a wide variety

goto d2autosports.com .... like 75% of the wheels on that website, are multi-piece wheels.. and they are all CUSTOM tailored to EVERY application.. meaning you call them, say 08 TL Type S w/ brembos.. and they build the wheel using different discs and offsets

take my wheels for instance.. JJaber06 has them, and they will not clear the brembos.. ((low disk)) i have the same exact wheels in a ((high disk)) and mine clear the brembos WITH room to spare.... but like i said, wheels like that arent cheap..

if i had to ball park it, i would say at least 200+ 1pc cast wheels will fit without spacers... and the amount of 2pc/3pc wheels is endless....

              my

and the only reason i know so much, is i literally spent 10 months researching wheels for my type-s

anyways. ronjons always look good, and they are a safe bet. perfect fitment for the car

at LEAST 200 1 pc wheels
Multipeice. HUNDREDS more. so all together THOUSANDS.

why limit your self to plane ole ronjon's? honestly. Id get ronjon when im tired of a HARD look. id say a step up from A-specs is ronjons. thats a plane yet aftermarket look. with a safe reputaion.

But to the ppl who say only 10+ rims fit. that had me going for a it

if I hear trash talk about spacers... imma kill myself....

I just bought a set of spacers thanks to mike that are hubcentric to the center bore... and hubcentric to the wheel ... insane...

Not trashing spacers here...always learning something new, and trying to help others.
If you have a hubcentric spacer 64.1 to the car's hub and 73 to match the new wheel. That's the way to go.
My question then is, what size spacer? Because I have read, that the smallest of spacers...3mm or 5mm, even though labeled "Hubcentric", really are NOT because they are too small.
For the record...my beef is with "Hubcentric Rings"....I don't think they are the best way to go.
