Question TL Rotors vs. TL Type-S Rotors

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to order some 4 piston brake calipers for my 2006 TL, I have to get 25mm(about 1 inch) wheel spacers for the calipers to fit correctly without hitting the rim. My question is, are the Base TL rotors the same as the Type-S rotors? These 4 piston calipers are kinda like the Brembo calipers in a way I guess you could say. Let me know if you guys know anything about the differences in the rotors between the two or if they are the same rotor... Thank you in advance.

Hi, the TL Rotors have 300mm diameter, the Type-S 310mm. Also the Thickness is 25mm from the Type-S. TL base rotors are 28mm thick.

I want to get the sport ones but it says that it wont fit my car bc it's an automatic. That sucks, I wonder if the oem ones will even fit? I actually wonder why the stoptech ones wont fit my car bc of an automatic tranny. I'll have to email them I guess. Thank you for the links.

I'm upgrading to the brembo calipers and gettting a 1" wheel spacer. I wonder if that means those stop tech rotors will fit? I emailed them to see what I can find out. Thank for your help man.

I don’t know any difference between automatic and manual for rotors.
It‘s better to write an email there.
Don‘t buy the ebay rotors. They are bad quality

A 2006 Auto vs a 2006 Manual will for sure have different rotors....because they have different brakes. The manual will have the Brembo's...the same as a Type-S.
