TL 18" A-spec Chrome Wheels

I just purchased the 18" A-spec TL Chrome Wheels for my TL from Acura of Escondido. So hopefully I will get these wheels this week. Anyone have any ideas what tires I should buy. I would like low rofile tires. Will there be a huge gap, you think it will be necessary to get the car dropped? If so what type of springs or should I just get the Acura brand? I still want a good ride, not harsh. Low profile tires probably not a good idea, huh? Don't know. But can you list the price of tires aND THE TYPE of tires, example: all season or winter. I'm so excited and can't wait. I Own a WDP and know the chrome will look nice on the car.

they could ONLY be low P-rofile. otherwise the diameter of the wheels with tires will be way off. find some calculators online for tire height for wheels size 1+

I also purchased a set of A-Spec rims for my 05 TL but are the 04 gun metal rims. I wanted the widest stock rim that would fit. As far as tire recommendations I'll suggest the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Very smooth and quite and provide much grip. IMO the standard 235/45/17 is much too narrow for this car. The TL has flared fenders that only larger sized tires tires can balance out. I put the 255/40/18 and I think it looks good but the next time I would go even wider. As far as the gap issue I think it is perfect now without lowering by installing springs. I have a two finger gap in the front and a one finger gap on the rear.

I also have the A-Spec rims, but the "black" chrome. I went with the suggested Yokohama tires. These are summer tires, which should be fine since you live in Florida.
Do you have NAVI? If you do, don't go with larger tires, stay with 235/40-18 as it seems NAVI uses the wheels revolutions in order to calculate some parameters; or in case you do go with wider tires, make sure you use a profile smaller than 40.
Also, keep in mind that going to a larger overall diameter will affect your speedo/ODO.
I have the A-Spec suspension and car looks fine.

It depends. Are you going to stay with the OEM profile (235/40/18)? The Yokos I am running are great. And cheap. I like them.

I'm trying to look for the tires you have on tirerack.com but don't see the exact kind of Yokohama 235/40/Z18. I dont see the Z18's. I see Yoko's 235/40YR18 but don't like those.

Are these pretty good tires? I'm getting the TL 18 inch A-spec chrome wheels. These will fit right. I have Navigation too, will these affect the navigation system computing distance?

They might be as good as the EVS, or even better.
It is hard to say how long a tire will last. There are many variables; driving style, pavement condition, etc.

I paid $1260.00 at Acura of Escondido. You should be able to find them on eBay. You can also get the same rims, but silver painted for about $960.00.
