Tires width

I got 4 Nitto neo gens off ebay for 200$. There 225/45/17. I think with smaller tire width the car should be more reasponsive which i need with these heavy Tls. But would by Cornering G;s come down??? they are extreme performance tires though.

Its really the "45" part that makes a difference in handling responds. getting that number lower = better handling responds.. say a 235/40/18

In theory, he did lower the side wall...45% of 225 is less than 45% of 235.

However, I would not put 225's on the stock wheels...too thin...without changing wheel size (as EternaLlx suggested), you would just get a better tire (as you did), but keep them at stock size (235).
