Tire Upsizing Questions
Hi TL lovers
Is anybody out there smart enough to answer this tire & wheel question?
I need help. I am really new about modifying cars.
Ride: 2003 TL Type S
Drop: No Drop
Modifications: Stock
Above is my reference car.
If i upsize to 19x8 with an offset of 45, would this fit in my car?
If yes, would it rub ( Fender & Plastic )?
What do i need to fit a 19x8 wheel & tire package?
Wheel & Tire package selected:
AXIS Milano, Ventus K104 235/40 19
Do i need a 4 wheel alignment after i install my new wheels & tires?
Thank You for responding to this question. I appreciate all the TL GURU spending some time to help me out.
Sincerely,
KAPLOG

19x8 needs at least a +50 offset for pretty much rub-free driving, stock or lowered. you didn't say if you are ever going to lower... if you stick with the 45 offset, you will need to trim plastic bumper and metal lip.
stock rolling diameter is 25.46.
235/40 is 26.40.
235/35 is 25.48
~> 35 series is closer to stock so no speedo or mileage variations
alignment is only needed if you lower the car.

Wheel upsizing
Hey Sir StanMan,
Thank you for giving me some input & idea about upsizing.
To answer your question, i have no plans to lower my car.
I've browsed a lot of wheel & tire website and theres not a lot of 19x8 +50 offset i have seen. Its a lot easier to upgrade to 18x8 but thats no fun after all, image is everything.
Thank You for your technical support Mr. StanMan.
