Jordan... you are not under standing.

when you up size your rim diameter, YOU HAVE TO KEEP ROLLING diameter the same.
this is accomplished by reducing the size of the tire.

235/35/19 has an overall diameter of 25.48 in.
while the stock 235/45/17 has a overall diameter of 25.33 in.

you HAVE to keep them the same.
or else your speedometer will be off, which means your odometer will be off.
In addition to the tire size not being "proportional"to the wheel.
it will look awful if you run a taller sidewall tire.

if you want to run a taller tire, you shouldnt have went with 19's.
you can compare different tire sizes against the stock tire size using this website..

a 235/40/19 would be almost 5% taller in diameter, throwing things off by 5%.

Here's someone running 235/40R19s on the front (275/35R19s in the rear), dropped 1.5 inches. Yeah, your speedometer/odometer will be off, but only by a small amount. At 60mph, your speedometer will read 57.56mph.

I thought about doing this but I'm afraid the bigger overall diameter might upset the visual balance, and it sort of defeats the purpose of running 19s because now they look like 18s.

I just came across this post that says those are 235/35R19s and 275/30R19s. Maybe the specs on the other site are a misprint.
