Tire Frustration!
Need suggestions for tire replacement on my 05 TL. Factory EL 42 delivered 41k of just average performance. Went to Yoko AVS ES100, great handleing and wet traction however they were extremely noisy and delivered 25k miles. Next are Cooper Zeon sport AS. Handles better than EL 42, not as good as Yokos but are just as loud and will probable deliver 20k if I am lucky. Is ther a tire that will not be so noisy and deliver decent performance and mileage??? Tires are rotated every 3 to 4 k miles and alligned every 5k. I am in Florida with pretty good roads so winter traction will not matter!

I don't know how much it will help you answer some of your concerns on mileage (since I've only had them a few months), but I have Goodyear Eagle F-1, GS-D3's on my TL and am quite happy. No noticeable change in noise from the stock tires (in my opinion anyway); a little more feedback into the steering wheel and WAY more traction.

I've got the Eagle F-1's too... I love the traction, but mine were cupped when I bought the car (1 month ago). They're directional, so you can only rotate one side. They also look great....
