I know I've been warned about tire chains possibly damaging the rims and all that, but I got some cable chains from Kragen for my '04 TL that are supposed to fit 235/45 17 tires. I'm chartered to drive to Tahoe during St. Paddy's Day weekend for skiing/snowboarding (I do have the roof rack to carry gear) and the long-term forecast seem to indicate snow up there. Which means they may enforce mandatory chains.

So, has anyone tried chains on their TL? Any good or bad experiences?
