Time for new rims: Ace Strada

I posted this in the does this fit my car thread but there isn't much action going on in there anymore. So if anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

07 TL-S

Ace Strada 19x8.5 38 offset. Would these clear the brembos?

Here's an old thread I found using the search function:

https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/closed-fs-ace-strada-wheels-393336/

From that thread the OP said that it cleared his 08 type S with brembo. I just need another confirmation. Thanks!

I just placed the order online. Got some Nitto 245/35/19 tires with the rims. I'll post pix as soon as I get them in.

The Ace wheels are back ordered with no ETA. I'm exploring other options while I wait. Would the following wheels fit? Would it clear the brembo?

Privat Reserve
19x9.5 40 off set.

I don't think that any private reserves clear the brembos

I personally would wait for the Stradas; I think they're a great looking wheel on the TL. I wouldn't get 245s for an 8.5" wheel tho, 235s will look much better.

Ok thanks guys. I'll wait for the Stradas. I do like them a lot. I won't be doing the staggered setup although it does look great.

Asasn21,

What's the negative on running 245 instead of 235?

245s are just too big for 8.5", they're going to look way too beefy on the wheels and more than likely make the whole setup look like ass. 235 is a perfect fit for 8.5".

I've checked the wheels/tires spec pics thread and I see tons of people running 245/35/19 on 19x8.5. It looks fine to me. Am I missing something here?

So they called me and gave me an update on my order. They will have to cancel it because the manufacturer is no longer producing this model. =( Now I have to start over again and see what else I like. Any suggestions?

Ace Alloy discontinued it supposedly. They still have a few wheels in other off sets but that would not fit over the brembos.

I like to keep it around $2k wheels + tires. I'm not big ballin' at the moment.

Any thoughts on this Tenzo?

Very Very Nice!! I recomended the VS-XX following the Strada wheel you showed, but these wheels will be much less than $2k, and they are sweet. I have Tenzo's Cuzcos 18x9 witha 35 offset, and they are great wheels!!

WOW, Thanks !!! Those look AWESOME And they will fit a 2008 Type-S.

I would consider 19"x8.5" +38mm offset in front with 245/35/19 tires, and 19"x9.5" +38mm offset in back with 265/30/19 tires. Thanks AGAIN
