The EDFC allows you to adjust the dapening of the shock. It has 32 setting from soft to stiff. I would definitely recommend you to get the EDFC if you are getting the TEIN SS.

probably pick the SS's up for around 850-1000 and the EDFC will probably run 350 or so.... i had a buddy install the SS's for me... the EDFC i did myself... took all day, but gratifing to know that i did it and didn't mess anything up...

Thanks guys. I will definitely have this mod in my list. How much will be the typical installation cost? Will I spend more than $2000 on this mod with labor?

i installed it myself, so it's free. If you have all the tools, it would be a fun project to do.
If not, I would guess installation would run about $400 or so.

Make sure you understand that the strut tower bar has to be modified or replaced and I don't think you can buy one specfically for a 3G-TL to bolt right in.
There are a lot of treads describing the use of Accord top hats and a strut bar for the Accord, but you end up having to drill an extra hole in the tower.
Others have cut the existing bar to expose the top, but without some additional metal welded in, it looks like the strength could be affected.

Drill the hole and get the accord hats. It's one hole. It won't hurt a thing.
Measure twice, drill once.
