looks sexy! You should consider gettings new shocks or coilovers later on though . Also not really feeling the tein sticker on the windshield, makes the car look cheap.

Do you have basics or s-techs? In your thread title and sig you stated S-Techs, but in your previous post you stated basics?

I installed Tein SS's on my '06 Accord V6. I thought it ruined the car. The fronts were too soft (softer than the stock TL-S) - even when they were cranked to maximum.

The rear "clunked" over small ripples/imperfections because they don't use any rubber isolators between the springs and their perches. (The fronts don't, either, but apparently the extra weight up there is enough to dampen spring chatter).

You need someone to explain to you why having a sticker of a hand flipping the middle finger makes your car look cheap? How old are you? Oh, 18. Nevermind. Carry on.

Slap a penis penetrating a vagina sticker on the car. Maybe someone will think you have a Bugatti Veyron!

Seriously though, what exactly does your sticker mean? As it stands, it says, "fuck Tein." But, why would you want to say that if you have Tein springs installed on your car?

Maybe you would have been happier with base TL, which rides softer than the TL-S. That would have saved some money, too.

Teins aren't real performance pieces. Their main purpose is to drop the car. The result can be a decrease in vehicle handling when installed in a well engineered car like the TL-S.

actually the base tl can kiss my ass, the handling actually improved, and the car has less drag in high speeds..other then that, put down another 3 grand and get the type S

I had Tein SSs in my '06 Accord EX/V6/6 speed coupe...

You couldn't pay me enough money to put that junk in my '07 TL-S.

The difference in drag due to lowering the car is negligible at anything resembling legal highway speeds.

Furthermore, the front Teins are SOFTER than the stock TL-S units AND you dropped the car.

Guess what that means? You'll be bottoming your front end - just like I did with my Accord (with a mere 1/2" drop and the Teins cranked to max).

I hope your happier with them than was after I had them installed in my '06 Accord Ex/V6/6 speed coupe.

The bone stock TL-S suspension is much better engineered than those Teins. Those Teins are LOUD, too...(No rubber isolators between the springs and the upper and lower perches.) That might be find in a weekend Civic autocrosser, but it's nothing I'd want in a ~ $40K luxury/sport road car (or, for that matter, a $26K Accord).

The Teins are a convenient (but not inexpensive) was to lower a car. Dynamically speaking, they are a far cry from a true high performance coil over.

Maybe all you care about is the drop....

All that really matters is that the person who paid for them (you) is happy with them.

My priorities are different, so I'd seek different alternatives. I plan on leaving my car ('07 TL Type S automatic) bone stock. I'll upgrade the (mediocre) tires when they wear out by changing to a 245/45/17 Eagle F1 GS-D3 or something similar.

Sorry. We can't all be rich and cool enough like you to have a "Fuck TEIN" sticker on our cars.

You still didn't answer the question. Why would a sticker of a finger flipping off the Tein logo mean "fuck da world?"

BTW, stop spelling it "tien". Read the "world" sticker you have on your own windshield. It says "TEIN.

Not likely, since my buddy in NH installed them on his '06 Accord and shares the same opinion.

Teins aren't real performance dampers. Anyone who's ever driven on both Teins and Koni yellows (for example) as I have knows that.

I saw greater improvments with a simple shock swap in other vehicles (e.g. Bilsteins in my Toyota trucks) than I saw with the Tein coil-overs.

I will scan and post my Tein sales receipt if you doubt my claims. I traded the Accord for the TL-S, due in large part with my disgust with the Teins.

UPDATE.

I just googled "Teins suck" and found this thread. (Nothing in there is my post.)

Exactly. Tiens, like 19" wheels, are all about LOOKs, which most people appear to value above vehicle dynamics.

Tein doesn't offer a coil-over for these cars that provides overall handling traits that are as good as the OEM TL-S hardware. A-Spec is even better.

A-Spec can be had for $620 on E-Bay (plus $50 shipping). Why buy junk (Tiens) when you can own the real thing for less money (A-spec)?

BTW: I plan on leaving the suspension in my '07 TL-S bone stock. I'd have gotten a 335i before throwing big money at this car. Plus, Teins will destroy the resale value of these cars. MOST future buyers will view that as a big negative.
