not the highest end wheel out there, there are stronger and lighter ones out there

as far as size, needs a drop first, or is probably going to look like a 4x4

In Canada rims are hella expensive, unless you go mid to lower end, which I think these are...Regardless, any other suggestions in the under-$300 range??

And I actually wasn't planning on dropping my car The winters here are rough and although I could get coilovers, can't really afford that route right now! Correct me if I'm wrong, but not dropping with 18's wouldn't look THAT bad would it? I've seen a few on here that look fine. 19's on the other hand... well thats pushing it.

They aren't bad but I woudn't get them. I just ordered a set of the xxr 527 in chromium black. They are kind of similar to these. Personally, I can't justify buying expensive name brand wheels so I guess I am a member of th cheap wheel club as well.

Thanks for that, I was looking at the GTC 01's originally, it's def the style I want, just touch pulling the trigger on that much moula! I'm still mulling, great quality and being poor vs. a torn up wheel is just too easy of a decision. But HAVING the money is tough

if anything just get a stock wheel till you get more money, cause don't forget you are going to need all new tires for the 18's, but also they are more expensive also when compared to smaller rim sizes, i was told like probably 5 years ago, something like roughly $20 US more per tire, so for a full set like $80 plus applicable taxes

I'm already taking into account the total cost WITH tires.

, and hopefully they are quality tires also, not some falken (or the many other brands of shit tires) piece of shits, since they are even more important then a quality wheel, since your' life , anybody who rides in the car (and all the bystanders too), all depend on those 4 little patches of rubber to get you where you need to go safely

I was thinking of putting on General Exclaim UHP's.

Had to buy winters last December, but it's the nature of the beast living up here in the grizzly North. We have winter tires on for almost 5 months here!

Any thoughts on the 18" a-spec ebony(hyper silver) wheels on a NBP 2006 TL?

Anilhanda, go with what ur pocket tells you to. Most of these guys here will tell u to go with pricey wheels(ex:VOLK's) but the truth is you dont need to go broke to make your car look good. There are lots of nixe wheels out there for a decent price. If you like the wheel and if your pocket isnt going to hurt i say go with what you like. Dont let anyone else tell you what to do or how to do your car. In the end you're the one thats going to be satisfied. It makes me laugh when people here(no names) act like ballers and their cars are sitting on knockoffs. In my opinion tsw have some nice wheels have you thoufht about snetterton's? Well good luck.

A lot of positivity here buddy, thanks I appreciate it. It's always welcome to hear that, esp when I'm posting something that I'm researching and taking the time to think over. And don't worry, I take every recommendation here with a grain of salt, for one reason: no one is in my situation. Everybody's different, I can't tell you how much money to spend because I don't know your situation, and vice versa. Before posting any "please let me know what you think" post, it's very important to remember that. So again, thanks for reiterating

I looked at the Snetterton's, they are VERY nice, however not really my style. A little spoke'y. Originally, the style I wanted was like the Enkei GTC01's and RJ Vegas, but then I saw a shot of those on my car and didn't think it looked the same as I imagined it would. SO NOW I'm thinking a little more spread out (spokes wise). After doing some more research today I really like the style below (HFP's), but they only come in 19's and I'm not going 19's :

If anyone knows some similar looking wheels, please post! Maybe even a little more concave, something like these... but obviously not super-concave (first image I saw on google):

Alright, if you're going to post and say something isn't good, say why! Or, if you think there are better ones out there... name themt!
