Teins question...

Hi.. AZ people!

I have a question for teins product.

I had been used tein ss for my previous car, 01CLS.

and I got 06Tl a few month ago. However, I really miss

about CL's ride.

I'm now gonna get tein s or h tech springs due to the financial problem

instead of coilovers. In this situation, am I satisfied with Tein spring with

stock shocks?

Thanks.

if u use the springs on the stock shocks, it might cause premature failure.

The shocks will wear out more quickly with lowering springs but if your car is new and the shocks have little wear on them so far just doing the springs is a nice performance addition. The High Techs lower the vehicle about 0.6" in the F and 0.7" in the R. the Stechs lower it 1.2" in the F and 1.3" in the R. Either of those drops are not very aggressive so your stock shocks should last a while. You will notice a sportier ride w/ better handling. It will be good mod.

PM me if you need a set of the springs. I stock them.

I have H-Techs with stock struts on my ride for about 6 months with no problems. Drop is closer to 1" all around. Ride is firm, but not bone jarring

when i dropped my car 06 TL, i didnt get the full suspension, i got the Tein S Tech Springs on eBay around $130 shipped and brand new, when i first drove with them it was a little shaky at first but after a few days, it became smooth, the drop with the s-tech makes the car look so much cooler

Save your money and get shocks while you do the install.

Take it from my experience, the s-techs on stock shocks also i chatted with jdmsludgehatch and we both agree the springs sag. I cant wait till i have about $900 to get swift springs and koni neuspeed yellow shocks

edit: i drove 27K miles on the s-techs got to say the first 5-7k was the best, then it was all down hill from there

Maybe you should think about getting Tein Basics?

Do the springs sag due to a quality issue or just because they were used with the stock shocks? If it's a quality issue, then would the Comptechs/Eibachs also have problems?

Me and JDM had it on our stock shocks, and i think even if i put koni shocks on there i won't be satisfied because the car seems to be lower than the first 10k miles and the ride doesn't feel the same on the twistes.

a lot of other members have comptech/eibach springs on stock/koni shocks, haven't heard any complaints from them.

edit: you can ask cTLgo he has comptech springs only

My advise is to take whatever time you need to gather the funds to get exactly what it is you really want. Sounds like you want the Basics really.

Excellerate and I both supply these parts the AZ community at good prices. I just thing compromising on your parts is not a good idea. You will just want to change them again later.
