I have the TEIN SS with RJ Ravens bro, and honestly its just a slight bit harsher than stock nothing too crazy. I was the same as you worried but I'm so glad I went this way.

I just drove from Long Island, NY to MIAMI yesterday on this suspension and wheels and let me tell you I went through all types of roads on the way and I am very very content with my choice!!

I cant find the Luxery Master series for the gen3 TL- where did you see it?
Teins site does not list any part numbers in the LM data

My 01 sits nice on Tein SS with about 1.75" drop- or 2 skinny fingers fender to top of my 18s
For normal people the EDFC is a toy, for track day style drivers, its a must!!!
For edfc on gen3 there is a clearance issue and the OE Strut bar must be removed
MrHeelToe is working with a place to make a replacement bar that includes a brake master cylinder brace and all the little clips and such like the OE bar has, and will fit the edfc motors on the top of the shock

To adjust to OE like ride- dial the stiffness down to 4
For fun street driving try 8 front 8 rear and play with the front for better steering
Keep the rear med-soft to reduce understeer.

When my wife complained the car was too harsh at first- I stopped and opened the hood- 2 clicks down on each adjuster and close the hood- perfect for her now!

Thats what I thought , I never seen the LM application for the TL only the SS and basics , and the SS is better because of the dampening feature

He's referring to the TEIN High Techs or luxury master springs. To the OP the HIgh Techs/Luxury Master are just springs. The TEIN SS are a coilover setup with 4 shortened damers and 4 springs. You will have ride height adjustability and damping adjustment with the SS. The EDFC is unnecessary unless you feel you will adjust the damping often.

PM me if you need any of the TEIN setups.

The Tein SS gives you more of a drop...I emailed TEIN directly and they told me they are working on the Luxury Master Springs for the car and should be out shortly if not already. I just didn't want the wifey to complain about the harsh ride...and thanks to everyone's input I'm leaning towards the SS.
