I am getting my tein coilovers soon and was wondering is there any guide for TL's as to pre adjusting the coilovers so that they sit where i want once they are installed, or do i need to install them first and them have the height adjusted. I just want to save some time, and make the process smoother. Also will the Tein guide come with a guide of how to remove the top hats from the OEM struts?

The little booklet that comes with the coils has a pretty good diagram for putting them together. If you're using your OEM stuff you just need to take one apart and then put it all back together but just on the Tein coil.

As for my install, we maxed the coil out, all the way down, put it together and then tightened it all down (I used all new parts) and then once it was together we raised it back up with the Tein wrenches. (I did all this before putting them on the car btw)

By doing it that way we didn't have to use a spring compressor

My damping is just about what Tein recommends, 8 clicks from fully stiff. It's a good ride for me, no drama, it hits a bump and it's over, no floaty feel or back breaking.

P.S. I have Tein Street Advance. You didn't specify which ones you got. If you got Super Streets your damping settings will be different.
