Tein Basics Pre-Load?

Ive been reading around that the TEIN basics have a pre-loading problem since when you lower the car the preload changes because the spring is extended resulting in a "bouncy" ride. I was just wondering if somebody would explain this to me and tell me what is good and bad about the tein basics, as my car is more or less slammed on these things and i dont want my coils or car damaged.
