Hey guys, I have tein basics dropped about an inch on an 04-06TL auto. I've noticed that my right frt clunks when i hit a pretty decent sized pothole and it honestly feels like the shock is bottoming out. Think my shock is blown? any signs that I can check for to confirm this?

 

I have the same on my 04 TL with about 1.25" drop & I do not have any noise from my set up. Did you do the install yourself? If not, check to see if the bolt holding the strut in the lower control arm is secure & the strut is situated properly. Also check the spring perch & be sure that the locking collar is tight.

I don't think the shock is damaged, it sounds to me like something is not quite right with the assembly. Just my thoughts & I hope you sort out this issue.

 

exactly what jskman987 said...with only a 1" drop the shock shouldn't bottom out..theres alot of shock travel left before that happens. just double check everything
