tein back orders...

Has anyone else had a problem with getting your hands on tein basics or SS's. I have gone to many places and got some great prices ($660 for basics and 850 for SS's) BUT they said they were on national back order and should take about 2 months max and atleast 1 month in the best secnerio. So one more question just to make sure I should go with my original plans. Are they really worth the wait or should i just go with an Eibach/H&R and koni yellows setup?

coilovers are the only way to go!! i spent $600 for spring/shock combo and have no adjustability. i would give anything to go back and get the coils. did you try mr.heeltoe. check him out in the black market section under 'sponsered sales and group buys.' great guy. he might have some in stock. good luck

there priced around the same with the K sport being alittle more. The Tein has a application for the TL but K sport doesnt, THe one member here used the accord app and has to use the accord Top hats inorder to get it to work. The K sport has 36 way dampening compared to the 16 way dampening on the tein along with a slightly stiffer spring rate than the Tein. JDM5LugHatch is the one who did this first, u can PM him for more details. Im actually thinking of changing over because i wanted a stiffer spring rate. But the downside with the Ksport is that it doesnt have a device like the Tein EDFC to control the Dampening from inside the car. I love the EDFC because its Convenient for me. Hopefully JDM will chime in to go more into detail. If u dont want a stiffer spring rate then the tein is the way to go because it already has an application for the TL. JDM5LugHatch has experiance with both setups.

If you've got the patience i would wait for the tein SS dampers.

I've had them on the car for 50,000 miles and haven't experienced any problems.

The 03 Honda Accord shares the same chasis as the TL.

The Accord appears to have pillow ball upper mounts which will probably work with the TL.

36 way adjustability.. WOW! I actually talked to JDM when I got my KYB shocks because KYB didn't have an application for the TL either. But they did have one for the 03 accord, which I purchased and work perfectly. My problem is that I really, really wish I had gone with some coils. The car sits perfectly w/ tein stech but it's just not quite as low as I want it. Plus I feel my shocks are a little too soft. I would love to be able to adjust the dampening whenever I feel like it. Anyways I'm just sulking. Good Luck w/ whatever you get.

yea man thats the beauty with coilovers, it alwayz u to get that perfect ride height, especially important when u have bigger wheels. But ive been hearing good things about the Koni/Comptech shock spring combo, but coilovers are a must if u have bigger wheels because it will allow u to get that perfect drop. just my
