Talk about luck!!!

Finally I have some good luck. Some of you may have seen my post regarding going to Good Year for an oil change and the tech brought it to my attention that I needed new Tires. Anyway, I did my research and went for his suggestion and had them install the Good Year F1 A/S 235 45 17's on my car on Wednesday. When they were done I was inspecting how they looked and I noticed that the machine they had that installs and remove the tire on the wheels scratched all four rims all the way around and it was deep. I was devastated. I brought it to the managers attention and he told me if I can leave the car with them so they can have it repaired. I picked up the car this morning and man did they do an awesome job! All four rims looked brand spanking new. No exaggerating!!! It was just like when I first bought the car. All the scratches the machine made were all gone and the shop even fixed the other chips that my wife made when she hit the curb. I couldnt thank the Manager enough for doing such a wonderful job. He said they took it to a shop they work with that works with bent and scratched rims such as mine. AMAZING!

Awesome, I'm looking for a place to fix my stock rims from all the curb rash (previous owner). Maybe I can tell my dealer one of his wash boys scratched them up

Glad you had a positive experience... when I got my new tires installed last winter, they did the same thing to my wheels. Since my car only had several hundred miles on it, I demanded that they replace my wheels with four new ones directly from my local Acura dealership which they did.

I went to Good Year on N. Franklin St in Hempstead. Where he took it to get it fixed, I have no idea. He didn't mention the place but I was just so excited I forgot to ask. The manager was a stand up guy. His name is Pat. I'm sure what ever profit he made from my tires after getting my rims fixed was not much or even a lost.

My buddy was telling me that any tire store has a place they use to fix bent or cracked rims. I think what they did was fill in the deep scratches and curb rash; sanded and buffed it down smooth. They must of color matched painted my stock rims and put a clear coat on the rims when it was done. What ever they did they made it look brand new again.

I'm going to look into that. It sure does stand out when you have brand new looking rims, even stockies! Thanks
