?? on taking apart a 3 piece wheel
i want to take apart one of my ssr's to clean and polish the lip. can i still do this while its still mounted on a tire and is there anything i should know before it do so?

No, not while it's mounted. The tire and rim are somewhat "bonded" at the bead area.....take it to a shop and have them take the tire off first.....
