Suspension or Wheels???

Ok everyone the big question, I have the funds to get my TL's stance right now...but in everyone's experience did you find more pleasure in getting the stance of your car right or getting those wheels you wanted, I'm ready for the next mod now and want to know all of your input, suspension now or save and get wheels later on???

yea its a tough one, the only thing stopping me is that the wheels are the major purchase, but on the flip side of that, a nice car with nice wheels that doesnt sit right, just seems a bit off to me....

Suspension first, otherwise you will most likely end up wih some big wheel gaps. I was fortunate enough to buy my suspension and find some wheels at the same time...it was a win win!

Lower your car, then find the wheels.

Get the wheels then decide on how low you want to go versus dropping it and then deciding you can't shove the wheels you want into the fenders. You might be happy with just the rim set up.

coilovers first. i like seeing noticeably lowered cars on stock wheels rather than stock height cars with some wheels looking 4x4

Suspension first. I know from experience unfortunately. I bought my wheels and then kept it at stock height. 4x4 TL FTL haha.

Lowered on stockies is sick anyways.

Drop then rims. I was in the same boat as you and was very happy with doing the drop first.

I did a mild drop first (A-Spec) and thought it was ok. Put the 19's on, and then realized it just wasn't right. Slammed it on Tein's and regret not doing that first. The drop changes the car.

Coilover suspension first, then rims.

Or, rims, then immediately non-adjustable suspension.

The problem is if you don't get adjustable suspension, you don't know what drop you need and can't just adjust it to your liking.

Then of course, Tein SS would solve the problem either way you went. The only consideration on which order of purchase you do would be how old (mileage wise) is your stock suspension? There's nothing worse than putting new 19 or 20" tires on and cupping them.

Suspension 1st! Once u get the drop, it may look just that damn good that you mite even reconsider getting wheels.

another example of wheels without a drop:

It doesnt look that bad IMO... Wheels are more expensive so if you can afford it get wheels first and then save a little more for a suspension
