Suspension top hats

I'm putting new shocks and lowering springs on my Tls. Would anyone recommend changing the top hats? Are these wear items?

unless you have like over 150K miles you probably dont need to change the top hats.

Do you have a type-s, if not, change your rubber bushings to the type-s version. They are much firmer.

Our '02 only had 90 - 95k miles and the top hat busings were pancakes.

Not sure how much is age and how much is mileage.

As "icing on the cake" is definelty worth getting Type-S bushings if you're replacing your top hats. It's not going to make or break the suspension, but it's one more thing to help with the overall improvement.
