summer tire vs. all season

ok guys, i searched and came up empty handed so i apologize in advnace if this has been beaten to geath before..

anywho...im looking for a new set of tires for my stock 05 TL wheels. i like the kdw2 from bf goodrich but they are a summer tire and not all season...BUT i live in SoCal, no snow, no ice, so my question is..does it really matter if its a summer tire or not? i dont think it does..unless i was sumwhere where it snowed and such..what u guys think?

i want a tire with good grip, minimum noise, and just overall good. my brother had these tires on his civic and they were nice..opinions, comments, lemme know!

Summer tires are soft compound & tend to wear faster, most Ultras have no tread warranty & are nosier then all season tires.

That being said, all things being equal, a car with the summer tires will run away & hide from one with all season tires

I exclusively ran BFGoodrich KDW2's for 2 full sets of tires after my OEM Goodyear Eagle F1-dsg3 tires had to be replaced. I loved them they have fairly good wear but I never expected to get more than 25k-30k miles from them.

I live in Georgia myself and we hardly have real winters here and I never used winter tires. I have always used summer only tires. That being said I am still sure we get worse winter weather than you Socal guys.

In fact BFG kdw's are what I am looking at right now for my Volk sw-winning wheels I just purchased last night.

In my opinion the Michelin PS2 is the best tire out on the market right now. But they cost some money. Michelin also makes BFG since they own them. But I had the BFG KDW's on a VW.

Well I have the stock wheels and tires on there now. When I receive my volk wheels I will be putting BFG kdw's on my car again. I can let you know then? Anyways they are really good in the wet too. Snow and stuff we don't get but rain we sometimes do in GA.
