Struts

I think one of my front Struts is going out on my 05' TL. After i hit a bump and the wheel releases, there's a "konk" type noise. Can someone give me some insight? If the strut is the problem, what is the best brand to buy for the best price? I like a smooth ride...

Just one of my pet peeves, these cars don't use struts, they use shocks. It's a good thing as the prices are much lower that way.

It could be shocks but it could also be the swaybar bushings. That's what cured the clunk in the front end. Mine did it especially when going over small sharp bumps moreso than large bumps.
