Strut bar install

Never thought I'd ask a question about strut bars..

So I recently installed my coilovers on the TL-S. I cut a square into the stock strut to give me access to the damper knob. I wouldn't mind getting the RV6 strut bar (or any aftermarket) but I noticed the stock strut bar holds up the fuse box and 2 harnesses.

On the aftermarket strut bars do they still have these mounts? Or do they just float freely afterwards? That is my only concern with going with an aftermarket one.

Excuse the noob question.

you'll only be able to keep the one 10mm bolt connected to the fuse box. the box will stay put, but will have some movement since the other two 10mm bolts aren't able to be used anymore.

no biggie.

Hmm. Guess I'll just keep my stock one. Not sure how I feel about the box just hanging on one bolt.

well, myself and many many others have the RV-6 bar with no issues.

it's not like it's going to snap off or anything. it's on there pretty good.

What about all the little pegs on the back of the bar that help support the plastic covers?

Or do you all just remove those covers?
