The bars themselves should be the same from S and non S. The brackets and such are different, but the engine covers are the same. The bar will fit both.
Originally we wanted to incorporate brackets for the fuse box, wire harness, etc. But now it looks like we wont because of the type-s differences.

yes, there is a difference between the 2. installed my greddy strut bar yesterday.
If you guys can make a bracket to relocate the fuse box, (maybe UNDER the strut bar) then you can appeal to the TYPE-S crew also.

not a clear pix but you can see that the fuse box is sticking up a little. I had to push it forward, remount the fuse box by relocating the bracket that's between the strut bar point and the intake

I meant there is not a difference between the Type-S brace and the regulat TL brace. The fact that the Accord brace does not fit the Type-S only serves to support the fact that the Greddy Accord bar is not designed to work on a TL!

Ah i have confirmed it
the Fuse box clearance issue is NOT solely a type-s issue.. The 07+ TL/TL-S have the fuse box in a slightly different location. It is very obvious that the 07+ fuse box will cause some clearance issues with the Greddy Bar... look at photos below
04-06 TL Fuse box location
07-08 TL / TL-S Fuse box location

i believe the bars themselves are the same. I mean, i installed the greddy on the same points at accuratein did on his TL so it's the same.
Only difference is the fuse box. if you can install it on a 07 TL, then you can install it on a 06 TL w/o a problem

only thing i noticed was that it was easier to turn the wheel than before. MOST likely it's cuz my tires are kinda balding.. lol
i don't know.. i noticed a large improvement with strut and sway on my accord.. but maybe the TLs too heavy to notice..

Here's an idea for anyone:
Order a greddy strut bar.
Find two metal rings.
Drill four holes to fit the studs through.
Have the ring welded to the bottom of the greddy base.
Paint the new base whichever color you wish.
Have a nice day.
Thank you, come again.
...i've always wanted to do this, but have been too lazy to get around to it.

This really not in my control at the moment. I am trying to put some pressure on but it isn't getting me anywhere. I might need to start from scratch...

I think TEIN should be held responsible for producing a strut bar regardless of what their damned marketing/ profit potential dept has to say.

One of us here in charlotte should ride up to a nascar shop one day. I bet they could knock that thing out in ten minutes, LOL.
I've been riding around barless too, can't tell a darn difference but still would like to have it back.
