Stock suspension needs rear camber kit??
Went to get an alignment today at a shop and they told me I needed a rear camber kit to properly align my 04 acura tl today. I had gotten 2 new tires for front the other week and the tech showed me that rear tires where wearing pretty heavily on the inside. (still have at least 50% of my tread left in the middle but just wearing on the inside more so on the psassenger rear) My suspension is stock and I've read MrHeeltoe's post. Called the Mac Churchill Acura (Dallas/Fort Worth) and asked them about it and they never heard of having to install a camber kit on a stock suspension to fix the problem. I have an appointment with them Tuesday. Just wondering if I really do need the camber kit and wait until I get them installed and then get an alignment.

I had my service adviser tell me the same thing after I put on 19" wheels and 245/35/19 tires, running on stock suspension. I put on the camber kit as advised because I knew I was going to end up lowering it anyway.

To install 150 worth of parts in less than an hour- what a bargain- oh wait the 60 dollar alignment is included
What you need from the alignment shop is the numbers they got on inspection.
The TL likes up to a degree negative camber-- and much more before the camber kit is really needed.
Huge stereo in trunk will lower the rear and throw off the camber

That's about what I was thinking. Assuming nothing unusual and the suspension is stock, would this be a warranty issue (assuming warranty is still in effect)? Since there is no camber adjustment, it isn't "routine" or "normal" maint.

Question, my 08' TL is riding on tein type ss coilovers n i dropped it only 1.5". Alignment is done, but my rear is still cambered out a lil, is that normal? i mean i know that most 3rd gen tl shouldn't have any problem w/ stock suspension, even dropping should just throw off the front toe, but is rear still suppose to be cambered out a lil negative? needing to know soon, cuz imma plan to drop it to 2.5" next month in vegas n i dunno if im needing to get a rear camber kit for it.

What are the specs?
Not certain as to what cambered out a little negative actually refers to, but suffice it to say, if the specs are out of range, a kit is needed regardless of the drop.

Right front camber out of spec
Both rear camber readings out of spec
They should make every effort to get the toe equal on both sides
