Stock Michelin's S U C K . . .

So i'm driving home tonight and its raining pretty hard ---
I was giving it like normal gas around 45 or so -- and the wheels like start spinning when i hit water patches/etc.

It felt like it was about to hydroplane very easily....

yuck!!

looks like i may need to get snows

I can't agree more. They wear quick, grip like $hit and dform real easy. Not even that smooth a ride for the performance trade off.

..and that's why I say I like All season tires. You never know when the weather can change, ('specially in CO). I was driving back to town from out East & was caught in a down pour, the tires performed GREAT. They work good in snow, cornering, rain, ride & mileage drops only slightly (due to more aggressive type tread). They aren't all bad, like lots of people say.

HEHE, those MXM4 does hydroplane.. so watch out when the road is wet... and especially if the road is anything less than perfect.... it caught me by surprise couple times... though it's nothing even close to dangerous...

YES OUR STOCK TIRES DO SUCK BIG TIME. I GOT THE YOKOHAMA AVS SPORTS 235 35 R19 AND THEY ARE THE BEST TIRES IN RAIN OR SUN, IMO. TOTAL GRIP

If you like those, try the SP 5000's. I've got 'em on my Maxima. They're available in both Z- and V-rated (I've got the Z) and they're all-season. Awesome in dry and wet, and they hold their own in the snow as well as all-season Z-rated tires can be expected.

The RE730 and Proxes T1S do really well in wet traction. No complaints so far. But indeed the stock Michelins just had to go!

To put it in perspective, my Nokian NRW's are better summer tires than the stock Michelin's.

My brother in law also put NRW's on his 99 TL and he said he noticed a handling improvement.

The stock tires are basically really hard and designed to last a really long time without wearing but they S U C K.

I live in Miami, FL. Shawhite is right about the rain, but my stock Michelins have failed me several times. Whenever I hit a small puddle going at moderate to high speeds, it feels like I'm about to hydroplane. I'm thinking of replacing them soon. I would like some suggestions on the best tires with the best grip in wet and dry conditions only: no need to worry about snow down here. Everyones help is much appreciated. Thanks.
