Stereotypical "Will This Fit" Thread

I hate to be this guy, but I can't seem to find an answer that seems to really answer my question. I was looking at a set of rims that are:

Diameter: 19 inch
Width: 8.5F and 9.5R
Offset +20F and +25R
Tires: 235/35/19F and 255/30/19R

my question is will they fit my 05 TL? I currently don't have any drop, but I plan on getting coilovers following rims. will these rub right now without a drop? look ridiculous? i don't really understand the offset, so I cant understand how they'd look. any help would be greatly appreciated

they will fit. you'll need a fender roll and a little camber depending on how much you drop the car. it wont look terrible but a drop will make it look a LOT better. post a pic of the wheels you are looking to get

also here is a simple article that gives a very basic understanding of wheel offsets

Yes, they will fit. The lower the offset number is, the further the rim is going to sit out towards the fender.

Just know at stock height +20 and +25 will poke out past the fender. At stock height you may not need to roll the fenders, but once lowered you definitely will need to. A rear camber kit will also be necessary.

Based on you tire sizes, I assume you do not want a stretched look. I can tell you this no, based on experience a +20 offset up front with a 8.5" rim and 235 tire, you WILL rub. I was +23 with a 235 tire and on certain dips I could hear my fronts hit the fender liner. Also was 255/30/19 a typo? It should be 255/35/19.

Also, IMO, putting the rims on before you are dropped is going to look awkward. The TL already has a lot of fender gap stock, so adding 19's to that is really going to make the car look like a 4x4. Drop first, then rims.
