staggered wheel and tire question
I have read through a bunch of threads but I have not really been able to find the answer I am loking for.....
I have a 06 6MT with H&R sport springs.
I am looking to do an 18x8.5 and 18x19.5 wheel setup. A couple of the application guides i looked at for this particular wheel was telling me that I could only fit the 18x8.5 with a et of 35 and I guess just due to the front brakes.
I had a set of 19x8 et38 with 245/35/19 tires that are on the car in one of my pictures and had no issues with them it that helps at all.
So, my questions are:
What size tire should I run on the fronts? Can I do the 18x9.5 in the rear and if so what et and what size tire do i need also. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I just want to make sure I don't have any rubbing issues and dont want the wheels sticking out too far.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

18x8.5 +35 in the front is fine with 245/40-18 or 255/35-18
but the 18x9.5 +35 will require you to roll your fenders negative camber and also to run a tire size no wider than 255

can't go with 19s? why 18s?
well, if you want to run staggered fitment on your TL you may want to get your rear fenders rolled atleast. the H&R sport springs isn't too aggressive in a drop so you will have a lot of room to play with if you get your rear fenders rolled.
my current setup is 19x8.5 (+33 offset) with 245/35R19 tires and 19x9.5 (+40 offset) with 275/30R19 tires lowered about 2.5in with H&R coilovers.
my previous setup was 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 (+40 offset both front & rear) with
the same tire setup as my current setup lowere with H&R sport springs.
Both setups I didn't have any problems because I had the rear fenders rolled.

stillhere153,
i think he shouldn't have any problems with the rears if he gets the rear fenders rolled.
Here's my old setup with H&R sport springs, rear fender rolled, and 275/30R19 tires.

I just prefer to stay with 18's.
I was already planning on having to roll the rear fenders. With the 35 offset on the rears at 18x9.5 will I be sticking out past the fender though?

Well, after talking with the wheel manufacturer and a couple tire shops I think I am just going to stick with the 18x8.5 et35 all the way around and pass on the staggered look. I will also be able to rotate this way. Now, should I go with 245/40 or 255/35 tire ... or any other options?

Cruising in my
I'm doing the same as you.
I'll probably go with the GTC01 enkei
Just trying to decide if I should go with:
18x8.5" et 35
OR
18x9" et 40
I have 245/40 tires... but want to go with 255 on all four corners in the future.
