Staggered vs non staggered?

Hey, I was wondering if I should get staggered rims or just get the same all the way around. I hear everyone saying get staggered, but I'm not sure if I care too much for it.. What are the pros to having staggered wheels (do they just look more aggressive)????

staggered on a rear wheel drive car provides performance.

staggered on a front wheel drive car(your TL) is just for aesthetics.
Cons
- you wont be able to rotate your wheels, thus costing you more money every time a tire wears.
- its a fwd vehicle. it doesnt make sense.

Okay thanks! Yeah I'm driving an 07 TL-Type S but a lot of people keep saying get "staggered." Good point about the rotating of tires (even though I plan on using the rims only when its Spring/Summer/early fall)..

If you have the money to keep buying tires and you're taking the car into the VIP look/stance/whateverthesekidsdothesedays direction then by all means, do whatever you please.

I would never do it, because 1. its a fwd vehicle. 2. I value performance over looks.

^ just depends on the look you are going for with your car either way works but lots of people like the staggered set up like my self regardless of the extra $ spent in tires

I love the look, but just can't get myself to do it on a FWD car. It's so tempting.

^ good idea as well.... only thing is if you want a look of staggered you wont have the larger lip on the rim in the rear but still a good idea

I went with a 19 X 9.5 ALL the way around with a 25mm offset. Still got the deep look but like the idea of being able to rotate my tires. Too $$$ for tires and not diggin the uneven wear by not being able to rotate tires. But if $$$ isn't an issue, it's a pretty sick look.

Looks good, but provides no useful/practical purpose. It actually takes away performance.

So it comes down to what you want, looks for looks sake or retain handling, etc.

I have a staggered set and it sucks that I'm not gonna be able to rotate my tires, but I'd like to think that because it's a staggered set, it might hold its value a little bit better.

seriously, is that like telling yourself that your gal is not fucking another guy? but you can hear in the next room the wild shenanigans going on.

if it looks fwd, drives like its fwd, then in fact it is fwd.
