Staggered 19's, question?

I want the look of a staggered fitment, but im not sure if this size will fit without modification.

Fronts 19x8
Backs 19x9.5

Will these fit without having to modify anything on an already lowered car?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

sorry to double post but...if those wont work, would 18s in the same widths work?
18x8
18x9.5

The reason i'm asking is the wheels im looking at only come in those sizes...thx again

Whats the offset of the rimsand do you have a big brake kit? Its not so much the rim width as it is the offset. You can always run a wider rim and put a smaller width tire on so you wont have rubbing issues (Stretch/Poke) Hope this helped you

I have stock brakes....offsets available are 20 and 40

I work at a tire/wheel company...but our system shows 9 inch width as the widest for the tl...I didn't know if that was being conservative or not

thx for the help

I would go with +40mm for both sizes to avoid fender mod.

What kind of wheels?

Cut a piece of cardboard or the like, 1" in width and add that to you existing wheel, then tire, provided they are factory. That is where the 9.5" +40mm will reside, and if you're anticipating purchasing wider tires, you'll need to add difference also to the 1" test strip..

wouldn't a 9.5 inch wide wheel need a wider than stock tire? 265 tire?

would 265/30-19s rub in the back on these 9.5 wide wheels? im lowered on tein s tech springs, 1.3 inches in the back...if they dont rub, do i need to be careful over bumps, or will these just barely tuck inside the fender?

One thing that's a negative about staggered setups is the turning radius. I don't know what it is, but the TL's turning radius already BLOWS . if you stagger your wheels, it's going to make it worse.

ive heard that.....im not too worried about my turning radius tho, as long as i can still make turns lol....

im just worried about rubbing while corning, or having anyone sit in the back seat, or even hitting a bump....this is my daily driver, so id like to keep it drivable under whatever situation...

265/30-19 in the back with a 19x9.5 wheel with 40 offset is what im looking at, just want to make sure it wont rub, otherwise ill go nonstaggered

You can make it to where it won't rub. The amount you drop it, and the amount of camber + fender rolling (in combination) will help you prevent rubbing.

Concur, I am running 21 staggered - 8 front & 10 rear. Lowered on Tein and turning radius does suffer.

I would recommend atleast getting the rear fenders rolled for additional clearance.

What's the lowest offset for the 19x8 wheels? Is there a lower offset than +40? Problem with a 19x8 +40 offset wheel is the overall look of the wheel sunken into the wheel well. It's not going to look flush with the fenders. Try going lower in offset or going with a 19x8.5 wide wheel with a offset range of +30 to +36.

You can run a 275/30R19 with the 19x9.5 +40 wheel offset with a 1.3in drop.

My current setup is 19x8.5 +29 offset upfront with 245/35R19 tires & 19x10.5 +43 offset in the rear with 275/30R19 tires lowered with H&R coilovers with no fender gap. I also have my rear fenders rolled.
