Has anybody driven the 6MT and the 5AT back-to-back? I have seen specs that indicate the stabilizer bars on the 6MT cars are larger than those on the 5AT cars. Is there much handing difference between the two cars?

 

I doubt the feel is much different, or at least noticeble enough, but they put a bigger one on the 6MT for a reason. So who knows.

 

I tested drove both cars, although not back to back on the same day, I did not notice much different, maybe because I did not test the "limit" of the cars. I did feel the different in the way the car response between manual vs automatic.

 

Sway bars sizes do make a noticable difference on FWD autos. Will someone PLEASE, let us know the sizes on both the 5AT and the 6MT ???

The bars look easy to change out.

6MT front 27.2X5mm, rear 20 mm
5AT front 25.4X4.5 mm, rear 17mm
IMHO the 6MT corners flatter than the 5AT. HPTs also help the overall feel.
