squeaky tein ss...solution?

hey, i just figured out what my squeak noise is. when i turn the wheel left and right when i'm parking the front tein ss are making a creaking sound, it's like the same creaking sound as when you use the wrench to adjust them up and down and it sounds like creaking bedsprings lol. anyone got a solution to this problem? i wonder why they are making noise now and not before.

Mine do the same thing. Whenever I go over real fast small bumps or a speed bump real slow I hear creaking and squeaking for a brief moment.

They have been on the car for about 6K miles now. I put it up on the lift the other day and took a good look at everything, all was normal so I don't know. The only thing I could figure was the areas that have metal on metal contact (spring to spring seats) would lead to the sounds. Needless to say the SS system is MUCH less noiser than stuff I've had in the past.

The odd thing was the squeaking stopped for about a week after that and then started right back up. Oh well!

yea, i'm gonna take the wheels off and have a look at the fronts this weekend. maybe the locking collars got a little loose, i'm going to try unscrewing and relocking them. it just seems like the springs are twisting around on the spring seats, but it didn't squeak before.

if u google "tein squeak" or "tein creak" u'll get a ton of different car websites so there is noise from these coils and i guess it's normal. ah well, i've already sucked it up and i'm gonna break my fronts down this weekend and make sure everything is tight. if any of the rubber pieces are worn or ripped i know i can get the exact spare parts from a local shop here in socal.

Spray some wd 40 on the rubber isolators at the end of the spring and see if that get rid of the squeak... If it does, you know what it is.

Thay poly needs some lube, just like poly swaybar bushings... otherwise they squeak.

it's not my teins. i just swapped them out for 6mt a-spec suspension on my auto and my car makes the same dang noise. oh well, might as well go in for recalls and have this looked at.

for anyone wondering, it's normal for the teins to squeak when u go over a speed bump. if you also have a creaking noise and u have an aftermarket sway bar, it could also be the rsb bushings.

my problem turned out to be a seized power steering pump. i think i eventually pinpointed the noise coming from the right front of the car. i didn't have any leaks and the power steering felt fine, but anyway, it was replaced under warranty at the dealer.

Garage door silicon spray is much better, but lithium automotive grease is the best.
