A-spec wheels..good for everyday driving??
Hey guys. I really want to get the A-spec wheels for myself for x-mas , but I'm worried about driving with more rode noise. For all you A-spec wheel owners.. how is the ride? I had 17" wheels with the low profile tires 225/45/17 with my RSX-S and there was a lot of rode noise. Anyways, I have have never rode on 18" wheels before and with the stock wheels on my TL, the ride is quiet. Some good advice would be great. Thanks.

I've got the 18" A-spec rims for my TL, which I use in the spring, summer, and early fall. I also ride the stock 17's during late fall and winter. Yes, I agree, the road noise is less on the 17's, but I think more of that noise has to do with my 245/40/18 Falken Ziex tires, which are mounted on the A-spec rims. The Falkens are good gripping tires, but, as you've probably read in this forum, are a little noisy at low speeds.
In terms of ride comfort, I really cannot tell that much difference. Not enough to be bothersome, that's for sure. My car rides smoothly with both sets of wheels.
I recommend getting the 18's. I, too, debated much about that purchase, but I really love those 18's. They look great, as well. Good luck in your decision process.

The are not the quietest tires, however that's why we have good stereos in the car.
