A-Spec wheels are light years ahead of the OEM Type-S wheels.

Aspec

Other people have asked this exact same question, Type S or Aspec, many times and Aspec always wins in a vote.

But some people prefer Type S wheels and its all about what you prefer.

I personally don't like the aspec rims. I think it makes the car look dull.

Sell your type-s wheels and buy a-spec wheels with the money

i like the type S wheels but A specs are more exclusive.
If i already had the typeS wheels i would buy aftermarket instead of the Aspecs (imo)

I was dealing with the same issue a few mths back. I wanted the type s wheels but I wanted gunmetal a specs too. I ended up getting the a specs and I am not disappointed with them at all.
I do however want a set of type s wheels to rock every now and again though. My suggestion, keep the type s and get a specs as well, then you will have both.

** MOD EDIT**

Since your car is not really a Type S, go with A-Spec.

A-Specs. Especially if you can find some 18x8.5's.

I honestly like both the Type-S wheels and the A-Spec wheels. If I were in your shoes it would definitely be a tough choice because you already have some sexy wheels, but the A-Specs are 18's and also sexy. Can't tell you get them or don't, but if you do, go for the '04 18x8.5 Gunmetal A-Specs.

Type-S wheels are too small IMO.

Aspec wheels are too common IMO and still make your car look stock.

Aftermarket wheels FTW!

Gunmetal

I had a set of those once until someone stole them off my car. Its funny how honda puts locks on their Civics but Acura dosen't put them on TL-S.
