A-Spec suspension and Ron Jon Legends Installed

Finally!!! After 2 months of sitting the garage, the A-spec suspension is installed. I also picked up a set of 18" Ron Jon Legends in Liquid Graphite during the Black Friday deal and wrapped in 235/40/18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus.

The suspensoion yielded only a 3/4" drop, but I'm happy with it.

The A-spec body kit will be going on this week.

What do you think?

I have about 200 miles on this setup and I honestly can't feel a significant difference in ride quality. I even had 5 people in the car this evening and no compliants at all. I was worried the ride would be harsher...No compliants here.

Looks great. Too bad the A-Spec suspension didn't do a full inch. I would go for it.

Looks good, love KBP color. But like the nice weather that you are having more than anything lol. 6 degrees outside right now sucks beyond comprehension.

My only compliants is I wish I would have bought 245/40/18 to fill the wheel well better to close the gap. Also, the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus don't have the rim protection I would hope for. Maybe a larger size would.

^^the sidewall profile depends on the tire model. falken 452's have rim protection and looks like this I I whereas most tires have a skinnier sidewall profile and look like this / \

also, some brands of tire run slightly bigger than other brands...like falken.

Yep, I wish it was dropped about 1/2" lower. I'll ride like this for awhile before swapping again.

Here is a pic of my 18" Ron Jon's next to a set of 19" Ron Jons with the IMO a awesome looking drop.

How about a rolling shot?

Also Agree, need more of a drop, and i bet with more of a drop, the rim will look bigger too.

Trust me, 235/40/18 will give you the best look. 245 looks too bubbly so to speak.
Filling in the wheel well can only be done one way, the right way, by lowering more. Honestly, I thought they were 19" for a second until i read the description you wrote. Looks great!

Also.. I feel that when you get the kit put on, it will make he wheels looks a tad smaller.

which offset did you choose? 48 or 32?

that's only an 8" wheel. 245 may be a bit much. you should be good with the 235 you put on there.

Thanks Rondy...I really happy with 18"...maybe in the future I'll go with the 19"

don't know if your Type S is AT but if it is, adding the Aspec Suspension would have gone down a full inch and look better. I guess you have either the AT aspec suspension on AT type s or MT aspec suspension on MT type s.

Sorry, but as that is your opinion, I must disagree and voice my opinion. The tires look too small on the rim/car, and the drop may decrease the tire top to wheel arch distance, or eliminate it completely, but it isn’t going to change to lower body distance to the front and rear of the tire. That tire size is almost identical to the OE size which many feel is too small, and especially after, let’s say a 50% wear, when the tire is down to 25”and the gaps increase.

This is what makes the world go around, differences of opinion.

I had the MT A-Spec on my AT TL and it does give the front a little more of a drop, it gives it a nice raked look. The ride on them was perfect, slightly stiffer, but the ride quality was great! I too wish the drop was a tad bit more, I would have definitely stuck with them...
