A-Spec Suspension

How can i alter my A-Spec susepension as i would love the front to be a little bit lower. I went with the A-Spec as i never had a sporty suspension and thought it might be a little to harsh for me but i did wanted some of that look. Well to be honest i love how the A-spec rides and i dont see a problem going a little bit stiffer at all.

Can I just upgrade springs...or maybe just the front as i already have MT A-spec for AT. How would the effect my Shocks ?? I know putting springs on stock susp. would cause premature wear but is that also with a-spec. Im hoping not.

so what would u recommend. If i have to redo the whole thing then for now im not even gonna bother with it...

what would be my best option ??

Here is the way i see it. There are many guys here running 1in to 1.5 in lowering springs on stock shocks and have been for years without any problems. The A-spec shocks are built to take that 1in drop from the springs, so getting aftermarket lowering springs say that lower 1.5 on the aspec shocks would only be putting a .5in of loweing extra on the shock but a full 1.5 on the entire setup.

There should be no problem going as low as 1.75 on the aspecs but will as with anything else that wasnt built for it put more stress but should last you a while.

It is not clear from your post. Do you have the MT springs installed on your AT? I have this setup. Here is what it will look like with the front about 0.5" lower than the rear using the MT springs. I am happy with the look and ride.

Hah.

What setup do you have again? Aspec shocks with front Aspec MT springs?
I'd like the rear to be even with the front. Also, are those 19 or 20" wheels?

^^^yea....that is an excellent stance! i recommend possibly gettin koni shocks and pair them up with your a-spec springs on the lowest perch! set the dampening to somewhat soft and you should be good to go. my

Thanks!

I have an AT TL-S with MT A-Spec suspension. The rear was lowered abut 0.5" and the front was lowered a little more than 1.0".

would having MT aspec springs on an auto car cause the springs to go bad faster b/c the auto is heavier in the front???

^^^ i seriously doubt that can happen. there is a difference of about 150lbs btwn the auto and manual. mt a-spec springs on an auto tl will drop the nose a bit more than it would on a manual tl
