Hi everyone, I know this subject has been brought up many times already but the answer that comes out of it is not within my means. I am wondering what shocks I should purchase to go with the a-spec springs I will be picking up this week. The car is a 2005 base AT. I know the best solution would be koni yellows but they would be over 800$ after shipping which is too much for me. I have been told koni oranges would be fine but it looks like they don't fit on the TL. Do you guys think running kyb excel-g would be OK since the a-spec springs barely drop 1 inch? I've also seen Truhart as a possible option, any opinion on them?

Again, sorry for bringing this up again, I just don't wanna mess this up and koni yellows are out of my budget (and I drive on some pretty crappy roads so they might be too performance oriented for me)

any oem replacement shock will be fine. the aspec springs dont even drop 1"

I got my Koni Yellows on sale from XLR8 for I believe $575 shipped, obviously you would pay more shipping to Canada, maybe hold off for a sale. With stock springs on the lower perch its basically the same drop as Aspec. I drove to Montreal over the summer, yeah your roads suck lol, I don't recall it being that bad with them on the car.

Thanks for the input! That's a pretty reasonable price for the yellows. I'm not in a rush though, I might wait until summer before installing everything. Thanks!
