A-spec p/n?
A-spec p/n?
Just picked up some 18x8.5 aspecs and I'm having trouble finding any info on them via search. The rims look like sparkle silver, but I thought 8.5 width only came in the darker anthracite color. The inside of the spokes say 18x8.5 and SEP 885A. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks!

thanks for the post, but none of those p/n's match up with the SEP 885A I have on my rims. I'm hoping these are not knock offs! I guess I'll take a closer look at them again when i get home.
I did search 08W18-SEP-855A and 42700-SEP-855A and found nothing. But I was guessing at the begining of the part number, so if that was wrong, nothing would turn up.
Pic might help. The full part number would be best.
nope, bought them used. they came off an 08 TL, but are 18x8.5, which was only made in '04 if im correct. I'll take a better look at the back of all of them tonight before I jump to conclusions.
They should be the real thing! When I bought my TL in 04, I got the whole A-Spec setup. As Bearcat94 say's, after 06 the numbers may not exist or have changed! Still, they are nice wheels!

the 18x8.5 a spec wheels were originally made in 2004 and in the exclusive gunmetal color. if yours are silver or different color perhaps the previous owner refinished them in that particular color. after 2005 the started making it 18x8 only and no more gunmetal color option but silver, chrome, and so on...
I don't mean to hijack the thread but I thought this might be an appropriate place to ask. I'm very torn between getting the A-spec wheels or Type S wheels for my 06 Base TL. I think I kind of like the A-spec wheels better but I'm concerned that without brembo's and nice rotors it might look silly on a base TL (because you can see more than with the Type S wheels for example). Does anyone think that's a legitimate concern? Or do you guys think A-specs still look fine with the base calipers and rotors (that are probably even rusty). Thanks in advance!

I've had type-s rims. Now I have a-specs. tl-s rims can look very nice on lighter colored cars - SSM, WDP - due to the contrast. They have a great color. Problem is that I always found myself thinking how small they looked, especially when dropped.
