Spacer Question

I am running stock rims with 255 45 17 tires with a mild drop. I was told I need 10mm spacera in front and 15mm spacers in the rear. I wanted to get h&r spacers but it apears that they dont make a 10mm spacer for the tl. Can any one recommend a comparable 10mm spacer. Thanks.

A 10mm spacer probably requires extended lug studs. Which...IIRC, requires new wheel bearings and likely new hubs.

You can find universal 10mm spacers that are 5x114.3 and that will clear the TL's hub centre.

There have been members that installed extended studs without removing the assembly. I believe they cut the backing plate, slightly shaved the knuckle assembly, and maybe even ground the head of the stud slightly.

There is a 10mm spacer that comes with its own lugs?

You don't go by " someone told me that i need....." . Suggest you measure your own and decided the thickness.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up purchasing some spacers from eibach that come with studs. Also, to clarify, I was told what I needed by a professional.

but...my question was WHY you needed spacers....

Like...do you just want spacers? And someone told you what you should buy?

Or do you need spacers to clear something?

I don't think he bought that to be clear something but rather than just to have flush looks. He clearly said he's running stock wheels ( Base or S doesn't matter). But again, the moment you jacked your car up and measure it that's when you enjoy. Anyways, I hope those spacers work out for you buddy.
