Source for OEM wheels?

I just bought an 04 TL and one of the rims is pretty severely scratched. Looks like someone had a fight with a curb parallel parking and the wheel lost.

Anyways......any suggestions for a cheap source of Acura wheels. I looked on ebay, but it appeared that a lot of the wheels were remanufactured. I don't know if I necessarily need a whole set either, but I guess depending on the price I could go either way.

I just checked the price of a wheel on acurapartswarehouse.com and it is like $224. I guess I was looking for something cheaper like a used parts source.

I found this site http://www.finishlinewheels.com/ACURA/TL/2004/ . I haven't bought anything from them, so I can't make any recommendations, but check them out.

I ended up ordering one of off ebay for like $125 shipped. I asked the seller if it were original prior to purchase and he said yes. When I got it, I discovered it had been repainted. I will be getting my money back on this!!

I thought these wheels would be more easy to come by. Just look for a descent one used. I'm a little unsure about the new replica route. Any experiences to share?

hey man, check car-parts.com

i got many parts from them, they come from cars that were involved in an accident but ask about the condition of wheels. sometimes the wheels are in very good shape.

or what about getting the wheel fixed at a local shop?? if it's light damage they would probably charge like $80

I don't have a problem with a remanuf/painted wheel. But the wheel I got although correct in color was rough in texture unlike the factory finish. The quality of the paint left me wondering how the long term durability would be. To me, it was if someone took some krylon spray paint and fixed up a wheel.

If the wheel is truely comparable to factory quality in terms of manufacturing and finish I'm all for it.

Try a local salvage yard. If they don't have them, chances are they can get them.
