I considered only 2 snow tires: Nokian RSi and Dunlop M3. IMO, the Nokian will likely offer slightly better deep snow and ice traction, but the M3 should offer better treadwear and performance characteristics due to its higher speed rating (stiffer sidewall). So, I chose the M3 given my driving style...mostly highway roads and aggressive.
I've got nearly 4k miles on the M3s, and so far they've been great although I haven't driven in any significant snow yet. If I lived in an area with extreme snow or in a more rural area, I probably would have chosen the RSi.
