Snow tires?



Hi All,

I live in Upsate NY and thinking about getting snow tires, what brand is good? Can any one share thier experience? So, i guess everyone think EL42 are very bad tires ah? So far i think it is on my 04 tl though. Let me know thank all....

I like the tires for dry/wet. I will be buying snow tires soon- they were awful iin sonw last year.

Nokians
Bridgestone Blizzacks
Dunlop M-3's

These are the 3 I'm looking at.

I considered only 2 snow tires: Nokian RSi and Dunlop M3. IMO, the Nokian will likely offer slightly better deep snow and ice traction, but the M3 should offer better treadwear and performance characteristics due to its higher speed rating (stiffer sidewall). So, I chose the M3 given my driving style...mostly highway roads and aggressive.

I've got nearly 4k miles on the M3s, and so far they've been great although I haven't driven in any significant snow yet. If I lived in an area with extreme snow or in a more rural area, I probably would have chosen the RSi.
