snow chains and 99TL wheels

have any of you guys gotten snow chains from the dealer?

i bought from them and they worked awesome...but they totally scratched up my rims...there's a ring of scratches around the center....doh....

has anyone else experienced this?

they're the type that you don't have to move your car to attach... and they have the rubber attachment on the front of the rim..

Why would you get snow chains for your TL when you live in CA? The only place I know that CA get snow is on the mountains but not in Berkeley/Fullerton. Am I missing something here?
